Our Story

A home in Provence, made for sharing.

Villa Azur opened its doors in 2016, beginning a new chapter built around warm welcomes, good food, conversation and the pleasure of sharing this corner of Provence with our guests.

Villa Azur

From a plot of land to a place to stay

Villa Azur was designed and built after Patrick found a plot of land just outside Lorgues. What began as a home in the South of France became, in 2016, our first step into hospitality.

Since then, welcoming guests has become part of everyday life here. Some come to slow down by the pool, others head out early to explore villages, markets, vineyards and the wider region. We enjoy helping each guest discover Provence in their own way.

Villa Azur remains a personal place rather than an anonymous hotel. We want it to feel comfortable and easy, somewhere you can settle in, enjoy the surroundings and come home to at the end of the day.

Meet Debra and Patrick

Different journeys brought us to Provence, and Villa Azur brought those experiences together around one shared idea: looking after people well.

Debra

After a long career in personal banking, Debra retired to the South of France to open and run Villa Azur. Born in Hounslow, the move to Provence was her first time living outside the UK.

Villa Azur offered the chance to exchange one kind of people-focused career for another, creating a welcoming, relaxed place for guests from around the world.

Patrick

Patrick designed and helped build Villa Azur after buying the land a short walk outside Lorgues. Before settling in Provence, his career with British Airways took him around the world.

He also trained as a chef and owned several restaurants, including one in nearby Les Arcs. That combination of travel, food and hospitality continues to shape the way guests are welcomed at Villa Azur today.

“The hosts were so welcoming and friendly.”

Here when you need us

We are happy to share local ideas, from places to eat and market days to villages, vineyards and day trips worth discovering. And if your perfect day involves doing very little at all, that works too.

The aim is simple: to give you a comfortable base, a warm welcome and the freedom to enjoy Provence at your own pace.
